So I've really been debating what to do with this site. The possibilities are endless, ya ya.... Problem is that Bunny and I both have real media jobs (that's MSM to you buggery bunch), and we're both focused on how to make our paying gigs into better news outlets. So SSP moves lower on our priority list. Problem is that I still want to get the news out on this blog, in a compact but relevant form.
Enter Yahoo! Pipes, which allows yours truly to mash up a bunch of RSS feeds, set parameters in an attempt to weed out the stupid stuff, and present long feeds with the latest news from Mississippi's best (or at least best-fed) news sources.
So that's what I'm continuing work on -- you can find the new news feeds in the sidebar to the right of this post. And what they leave us with at SSP is the chance to focus on personal commentary, indie journalism and video fun. If in the future, Bunny and I decide to develop SSP into a pure-play internet news site, we can still do that -- SSP will remain online, don't worry about that.
We still want to get volunteers into the process. If you have a story idea, a news tip, a video you've shot, something to promote, etc.... drop us a line at blogtw4( at )statestreetposts.com and let's get it on the blog.

I just want to make everyone aware of how much time and effort my blog partner puts into this monster. ALOT!!! Enough to warrant using caps.
Yeah, I know we all get so busy with our own lives that it is difficult to slow down enough to say thank you or kudos. But try...it make you feel all warm and tingly :)
So, thank you bb from the bottom of my heart.
